Welcome, [%username].

I've heard a lot about your tireless work helping the Expedition.

Thanks to your support, we've come a long way. You have my gratitude.

"It's an honor to serve the Expedition."

Unfortunately, our current situation isn't ideal. We're still nowhere near catching up with Beritra.

I'm sure you're aware that we don't have much time left. I have summoned as many of the captains as can be called away--let's hear from them and map out a plan.

We'll start off with a report from Pluvis, then hear from the rest.

"I'm all ears."

I'm Centurion Pluvis, Captain of the First Light Expedition.

We have investigated the new continent and assisted with the Expedition's establishment in this land.

We discovered ruins unique to Cygnea--ruins under the protection of Tiamat's undead Drakans.

"Mmhmm."

We also investigated the habitats of the creatures here, and found that the present environment is different from what it was in the past. We found murals and fossils associated with land that shouldn't exist at the bottom of the ocean.

In summary, we think Cygnea wasn't always under water, but was initially above sea level before it sank.

"Sound conclusions."

From what we've found out so far, it can be construed that Cygnea is a continent that was sunk by its master, Tiamat, for a very specific purpose.

We relayed our findings to the Second Light Expedition. You'll have to speak with Centurion Pruina if you want a briefing.

"Thank you, Centurion."

Greetings! I'm Centurion Pruina, Captain of the Second Light Expedition.

We've found that the Aetheric Field Stones discovered in Cygnea were built to hide something of Tiamat's.

We also learned that Tiamat's Aetheric Field Defenders are protecting the sealing stones, to prevent anyone from finding whatever is hidden.

"Sneaky little..."

Tiamat's Earth Aetheric Field Stones used to appear all over Cygnea, but most of them have been destroyed by Beritra's army.

From this, we concluded that Beritra is destroying the Aetheric Field to obtain whatever Tiamat hid.

We figured this was a bit of priority! So we devoted as many people as we could to finding out what the Dragon Lord was after.

"And?"

We carried out a... thorough interrogation of Commander Nazracht, who was in charge of destroying the Aetheric Field Stones.

From him, we found out that Tiamat's secret treasure isn't an artifact or object, but an ancient creature that even Tiamat feared!

We've handed the investigation over to the Third Light Expedition, so let's listen to Centurion Ricoro to hear what happened.

"Go team 3!"

Mmm, thank you. I'm Centurion Ricoro, Third Light Expedition.

Our focus was on tracking down The Dragon Lord, as quickly as possible.

We got hold of a copy of the army's plans, and managed to find out where Beritra was going.

"It just keeps getting better."

No kidding, right? After learning where Beritra was headed, we concentrated on pursuing him. But we were delayed when one of our investigators, contaminated by a Seed of Domination that Beritra uses as a form of mind control, gave us false information.

I'm pretty sure the Dragon Lord has already gotten where he wanted to go, but from the way he keeps messing with us, I think he's trying to buy some time.

That tells us the Dragon Lord can't get his claws on what he wants just yet. I've given a full report to Commander Aithria, so she'll be able to tell you more. Heed her word--she'll know what to do next.

"Thank you, Centurion."

Did the reports get you up to speed on the situation, and our objectives?

As you probably gathered, we're running out of time. It is truly a frustrating situation, as we still don't even know what, exactly, this creature is or what will happen if Beritra gets it. We don't know if the Dragon Lord means to release it, or kill it, or what.

And we don't have time to find out more. Beritra is already there, and we have to get there as well. The most we can do is what the Dragon Lord is doing--delay him and buy ourselves some more time.

"Agreed."

It'll be an all-out battle against Beritra from now on. We have to delay him as long as possible while we figure out what he's after. To that end, I have already dispatched a small group of elite Daevas to the area near Beritra's outpost.

[%username], I want you to assist the Detachment in mucking up Beritra's plans. From the reports I've read of you, I doubt I'd have much to worry about under normal circumstances. But what lies ahead might be significantly more difficult, not to mention dangerous, than what you've faced so far.

Despite the very real possiblity of losing someone as capable as yourself, I still have to ask. Could you help us once again?

"If you didn't ask, I would have volunteered."

This mission needs to be carried out swiftly and efficiently.

Go as quickly as you can. See Nostibas of the Moon's Edge Detachment to receive a briefing on the mission.

"On my way."

Are you the reinforcement that Commander Aithria sent?

I guess you've heard what's going on, but the situation is much more dire.

"Par for the course."

Beritra is headed for Drakenspire Depths. We tried to set up in that area, but we can't get close. His troops are on the lookout for us, and any attempt we've made has ended poorly.

I want you to create a diversion so our Detachment can approach without interference.

Eliminate Beritra Trailblazer Assassins and Beritra Trailblazer Spelltongues, and then destroy the Beritra Supplies Boxes. If you understand what I just told you, move out now!

"Got it!"

I heard you went up against Beritra's army.

What's the situation?

"Well..."

Ereshkigal...! That's what Tiamat hid away? What Beritra has been after all this time was Ereshkigal?!

Who knew we'd find Ereshkigal here... the Third Dragon Lord has been missing since the Cataclysm! We're still trying to deal with Beritra, there's no way we can handle another Dragon Lord!.

As unwelcome as this news is, it was certainly vital. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, [%username]. Well done!

Completion:

You met with Commander Aithria of the Aequis Expedition, as well as several expedition centurions to receive reports on Beritra. From them, you learned that Cygnea had once been a land above water, that Tiamat hid something of great power away on this land, and that Beritra was trying to get whatever that power was.

Aithria formed a band of elite Daeva warriors to pursue Beritra to his goal, the forgotten dungeon known as Drakenspire Depths. You went to join this group, and helped them assault one of Beritra's outposts.

There, you encountered Orissan, army General of another Dragon Lord. You learned that the creature Tiamat sealed away, the great power Beritra is trying to release, is none other than Third Dragon Lord Ereshkigal.
