I never thought I would come back to this nightmare....

The Incarna Prison Camp is where they dragged the Daevas that the Dredgion managed to kidnap. They get locked up here, then sacrificed.

I have NO idea what their goal is, but I can't even put words to the kinds of torture our people are being put through here.

"How can I help?"

Our primary objective is to rescue as many Daevas as we can. Ideally, we also need to look into what's going on in the Bastion of Souls.

This needs to be fast, and it needs to be quiet. It wasn't last time....

I'll go in and investigate the Bastion of Souls. You and your comrades focus on freeing any Daevas you find.

"We'll do everything we can."

One more thing, please....

If you find anything to help track down the Arrows of Freedom, could you bring those to me? Any hint is helpful, no matter how small. Armor, feathers, hair... anything.

Let me know if you find Remainder of the Arrows of Freedom Detachment during your mission. Good luck.

"Stay safe."

Well, it may not have been quiet, but at least the Daevas have been freed. I think we caught the Warden's attention, though.....

We've got to move fast. Did you find anything?

"This is what I found...."

Nothing...? I see.

Well. This is no time to be sentimental. I'm sorry. Either way, you were able to rescue the Daevas.

I was able to look around the prison camp a bit. This place is... bone-chilling.

"What did you find?"

They are using the prisoners for... some kind of fuel.

First, they just lock them up. They starve them for days--no food, no water, nothing. When the prisoners lie broken and empty of nourishment, the Balaur consider them to be "purified".

Then, the Daevas who have undergone "purification" are marked for disassembly, compression, or distillation. That's when they get transported to someplace else along the Path of Serenity.

"Purification, classification... serenity?"

Yes. Except in this case, "Serenity" means being sacrificed in a ritual the Ereshkigal Legion is performing.

They are... tortured, [%username]. Their wings are severed. Their life essence is extracted. They become "fuel" for the Balaur's magic. There's no telling what that ritual is supposed to accomplish, but we know they are being transported along the Path of Serenity.

Warden Mahorosh guards the Path of Serenity. If we kill him, we will be able to find out where the Balaur sacrifice the Daevas and what this magic is.

"He won't know what hit him."

(The paper is sticky with oil and some kind of black splotches.)

(It seems like it might tear easily.)

- Warden Mahorosh

(You should show this to Cautious Bastiel.)

(Take the report.)

Warden Mahorosh is the one who oversees the transport of the prisoners.

Once he is gone, the Path of Serenity should be left open. Then we'll have a chance at finding the prisoners.

"This might be relevant...."

Where do you find this? This is... horrifying, but useful.

With this, we should be able to track down the kidnapped Daevas.

Give me just a minute to read it.

"Sure."

"Sure."

This is... if this report is correct, there are 10 times as many prisoners as we thought. All set to be sacrificed to something called the "Incarna"?

And it's asking for even more.... We have to move now, before they sacrifice any more lives.

We have to work together. Rest up quickly, [%username]. We'll all need our strength for this.

Completion:

Bastiel asked you to help rescue the Daevas that are imprisoned in the Bastion of Souls, and to find out more about the Ereshkigal Legion's goal. He requested that you retrieve any clues as to the whereabouts of the Arrows of Freedom during the rescue mission.

You discovered traces of the Arrows of Freedom members and brought them to Bastiel. He said it was unlikely that they would be at the prison camp, and it was imperative to find out where they and the sacrificed Daevas were taken instead. He also said that Warden Mahorosh was in charge of the Daevas at the camp and that you'd be able to find out more if he was eliminated.

After you defeated Mahorosh, you obtained and read his report, which stated that more sacrifices were needed. Bastiel said that the Ereshkigal Legion needed to be stopped to prevent more Daevas from being taken.
