Storybook - The Barrier

An Aetheric Field surrounds a specific location. Separating this specific location from the outside world.

It prevents attackers from penetrating into the field. At the same time, it prevents those on the inside from getting out, for their own protection.

The first one worldwide was the Aetheric Field, which Aion used to protect Atreia and its citizens from the overbearing and underhanded Balaur.

In order to create this Aetheric Field, he used a large quantity of Pure Aether Crystals. Aion's tower was built with the same material.

Based on the assumption that Aion's wonders were only possible with Aether, many believe that the source of the Aetheric Field and the source of Aion's power are one and the same.

Atreia's second Aetheric Field was created by the sacrifice of Lady Siel and Lord Israphel.

In order to protect the Tower of Eternity from complete destruction when the Balaur attacked during the Cataclysm, the two protectors of the tower, Siel and Israphel, drained all of their life energy to generate a new Aetheric Field.

Witnesses tell us that time slowed down when the Aetheric Field was generated from the Tower of Eternity. Finally, time seemed to stand still. Then space itself gradually began to blur.

Based on these reports, we can conclude that Siel, the Lord of Time, and Israphel, the Lord of Space, created an Aetheric Field by manipulating time and space.

Thanks to Lady Siel's power, this Aetheric Field was able to stop time and prevent the Tower of Eternity from being completely destroyed.

And thanks to Lord Israphel's power over space, they were able to send all creatures in the Aetheric Field to Elysea or Asmodae.

Nothing less than the sacrifice made by these two Lords could have created the Aetheric Field. And this was the only way to protect the old Atreia and the Tower of Eternity, both of which were divided during the Cataclysm, from complete destruction.

Now this sacrifice and the creation of the Aetheric Field have been history for a thousand years...

We don't know if or when the Aetheric Field could lose its power. If this should happen, the suspended past would begin to move again, leading us into destruction...

That's why we have to arm ourselves to prepare for the future, whatever it may be.
